Let Dada Go...

Ganguly is again in the news. This time for getting dropped, sorry for getting promoted as mentor, from Pune team. Remember those days when 'The Dada Army' went mad on BCCI for dropping him from Indian team and Shah Rukh Khan for not picking him in the auction. His initial success in IPL5 is echoed by his fans, "Dada is back'.

Undoubtedly he is inspirational in India's rise as Global Cricketing Powerhouse on the field. Yet he is too old to wear a Knight's Armour or to throw a Warrior's spear, atleast the owners think so. He is motivational but his on-field performance as a player is sadly top ranked from bottom. He should have asked the Q, Would I keep a batsman of this record in T20? Rather making the owners to force their decision on him, he should have bit the adieu. His fans must be happy for their idol for he won't get humiliated in public, news and commentators after this, atlest about his over-ambition to play T20.

Men may come and go but only a few like 'The Prince of Kolkata' live in hearts. Everyone must go one day, for Dada this is the day. There isn’t much left to prove. He had done his best in leading an unsettled side.

Let him inspire many more. Let his records echo the globe. Let Dada go...
