Destiny unites us!

Where was the voice of the self-proclaimed Indians when Modi proudly stated in Japan "Being a Gujarati, commerce runs in my veins"? Where was the voice of Hindi-North who rise their antithetical voice when the issues of language and regional problems were echoed when the Prime Minister of India identified in a foreign land that he is a Gujarati?

Your mind should know that every state and community has an identity and the Indian feel among us will not have no secondary rank to our regional identity. When majority tries to mull our identity, we will rise and that rise is not against Indian unity but majoritarian hypocrisy.

What unites Indians is not Hindi but history, culture and destiny!

Friendship, bygone!

He is my best friend. I know him inside-out!!!

He is one of my close friends!!

He is my friend!

He is my classmate in class x, if I'm right.

We studied together sometime...

Yeah, I know him.

I think I know him. Yeah, now I remember.

Yeah, I have heard that name!

I will recognize once I see his face.

Sorry! Couldn't!!!!

Once the so called best friend is now a stranger!!!

Moral of the Timeline : Relationship, perhaps an alliance, forged on necessity would be bygone once such a necessity doesn't exist!!!

When Man Takes Over!

The Park is flooded with Homo sapiens who flocked to witness a scientific marvel. The director of the park looked tensed and proud.  This event is such an honour for him. The honour of being director of the only ‘Park’ that hosts ‘The Woolly Mammoth”. Well, this is not a science fiction story! A future truth as men takes over the job of creation from nature.

The Woolly Mammoth, the much hyped of all the de-extinction species

Like many, I made my mobile a part of my body. Celebrated Spirit’s successful landing, elated when my country launched Chandrayaan. My mind is still anxious about the fate of Mangalyaan. At its day of destination, it’s another moment of party. But definitely not for the above one!

I ‘m of the opinion, religion should never be an impediment to science because, ‘creation’ is only nature and not Godly! So my opinion has nothing to do with religion. The idea here is ethics, morality and concern.

The Pyrenean Ibex, a species that is hunted to extinction. It is briefly resurrected for just 10 minutes and died due to lung problems, the most common among cloned and resurrected.

Though 6,000 years is a minute period in geology, it’s a comprehensive period in human evolution and anthropogenic activities. In the past 6,000 years, we altered the face of nature than ever before. This includes the habitat of the Woolly Mammoth, the much hyped of all the extinct species. There is no more ice age and even the remnants of the last Pleistocene are fast disappearing. Even an artificial habitat like that of “the park’ is still an extravagance considering the fact that one-third of our brethren go hungry.

The Saber-tooth Cat, an ice-age predator

The resurrection of such extinct species would have less or no genetic diversity and ultimately lead to genetic inbreeding and hence extinction.  More importantly, who will teach the Woolly to graze, the Dodo to fly and breed and the Saber to hunt? They would naturally be living an unnatural life!

Velocirapor, the Jurassic Park fame predator. Went extinct 71 million years ago (late cretaceous).
Even if every obstacle is turned positive, the living species would be more an exhibition showdown than a living creature. Luckily, we don’t have to fear for human life as the Velociraptors and T-Rexes can’t be resurrected with present technology. Who knows, people like John Hammond and InGen may come in future to do that!

If such animals really deserve a resurrection, let nature do it!

In the Neverland!

Indian Teams, since ages, have one thing in common - not so threatening bowling attack! It is so much the face of Indian Cricket Team that fans see India like that. India's sheer dominance on the field, without doubt,  is due to their batting fire power.

Are we the best batters? Yes! Only in our turf! And an above average team in the sub-continental pitches! Abroad - well it is a mystery land! Victory, most of the time, remains elusive for the men in blue. We never tried to chase it - means we never thought of implementing the plans that experts are giving to plug the holes in our parachute.

Bumpers are our biggest enemy! I still wonder why India is not proposing an amendment against the cricket rule that allows one bouncer per over!? I think that may save India's batting face overseas.

The World Champion, The Champion of Champions and World's Second Best ODI Team (Had I posted this before the New Zealand tour it would be World's Best ODI Team) are the tags we are carrying now! (Don't know for how long!) Still we lose to a team that's Cricketing rank, relatively, is in abyss. Loss against the Rainbow Nation is excusable (again, the typical Indian mindset). Yet the way we were routed make nothing, but blood in eyes and heart!

Except the Captain and his deputy none of the hunters in blue were comfortable - struggling against swing, bumpers, pace and what not? What India should do to rein supreme in the other shores? is a template recommendation that one can see in media whenever we tour outside! The question is - what we had done to those 'blabbers'? No pitch in India is supporting Pacers. No condition in India is favorable to pacers and short ball handlers except their need in the team!

As the phrase 'Bad carpenter blames his tools', we blame and curse the fielding restrictions for our bowlers' dismal show. Rules are common. Men make it good and bad! It won't be necessary to say what it is to us! A curse deadlier than the one that is upon the Captain of the Flying Dutchman!

India's best area in bowling department - the spin - is equally bad. We have spinners whose balls never spun the web around the opponent in the 'alien land'. Be it the Spin Quads of 80's or the Spin Double of last decade or the Young Brigades of present, a classical spinner performed win remains elusive. And it would remain so until the the step towards rectifying it is made!

This is not a scribbling of an Indian fan who is fed up with India's recent outings against Proteas and Kiwis. It is the snippet of the feeling that remains resounding in the hearts of 'The Billion Plus'!

To conclude - Think and Act!!!
